David Chaulk

David Chaulk has been a prolific composer of brass music since the late 70s and is widely published in the US, the UK and Australasia. David has received awards in competitions including the Penniston Award (twice), the Salvation Army Centenial March Competition, the Swiss Brass Band Association Composition Competition and the Sounz - Brass Band Association of New Zealand Brass Composition Competition. His works have been recorded or performed by artists and ensembles including the Auckland Philharmonia, Orchestra Welington, the International, New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, Canadian and Melbourne Staff Bands, Philip Cobb, Derrick Kane and Steven Mead. His music has been used as tests or own choices in brass band competitions in Norway, Germany, Australia and New Zealand - his work Terra Nova has been selected for the 2017 Swiss National Championship.
